Graber Post & Frame

Graber Post & Frame has been raising buildings out of Portland since 1979, which makes it the oldest post frame outfit in Jay County and the one other builders send their hard jobs to. Mervin Graber and his sons cut their own trusses on shop jigs and will take on a clear span equipment building up to 80 feet wide, the kind of span most shops this size will not attempt.

They are also one of the few Plain owned builders in the area who will put up a commercial shell to an engineer’s stamp, so the work runs from a neighbor’s machine shed to a contractor’s storefront. Two crews run most of the year, and the schedule fills early for spring.
